Arrived at Torres Del Paine Campsite to an Assado on the go.... funnily enough Minty was somewhat worried when posing for this photo shoot!!! The campsite was stunning if a little cold, windy and wet. It was on the bank of a lake with fantastic mountain views. Tomorrow was to be a long day with a hike to the Torres Lookout.... 22km and a steep climb, so not much to drink on the first night.

An early start, Cameron took us as far as a bridge too wide for her and we transferred onto a local bus for the last 20 mins, and we were at the start of the walk. 1 hour steady climb with stunning scenery then a 1/2 hour up and down trek along narrow path with a huge drop to the valley below until we arrived at the refugio for a welcome loo and Fanta break. Another 1.5 hours of mixed walking through the valley and woodland brought us to the boulder field. It seemed an endless climb upwards, with for the first time ever Patrick wondering about turning back before me... think he was concerned about getting me back in one piece but 10 minutes from the top we met Luca on the way down and he insisted we kept going. Good decision, the view at the top was stunning and no camera, even the stolen one could have captured it, or the feeling of getting to the top.

Next day we decided to give our legs a break and go on horseback. Fantastic ride but very very cold and windy. Along Glacial river, through woodland and bogs, then up a very steep hill to a stunning lookout.

The final day was a catameran ride across a lake to the start of the grey glacier walk. This must have been our roughest ferry ride ever with a lot of green faces around. The Cat seemed to be a submarine for a lot of the time. Unfortunately I think I burned myself out on the first walk so we only did 4 hours trekking and didn´t make the glacier lookout. Great day anyway though
